The Hiking Club
This hiking club provides teenagers the opportunity to explore nature.

- Look on our calendar and choose a hike you would to participate in.
Hikes will be approximately 2 to 3 miles on unpaved trails, easy to moderate intensity, and 1.5 to 2 hours long. Each hiking session will include dedicated time for a reflective activity such as sketching, journaling, or photography. Hikes will be led by Katrina Stewart, a certified holistic health coach and former high school teacher. Additional adult supervision will be provided by board members of The Chris Center, Inc. Age Group: The teen hiking club is open to adolescents ages 12 to 19 years old. What to Wear & Bring: Be prepared for unpredictable Indiana weather! We recommend wearing layers and bringing appropriate coats/hats/gloves for potentially cold or wet weather. All hikers should wear boots or gym shoes that are suitable for hiking. Please bring a small bag or backpack with your own water bottle, individual snack (if desired), and supplies for the indicated activity such as journaling or sketching. COVID-19 Precautions: We follow the guidelines set forth by the CDC as well as state and local health agencies. Currently, masks for outdoor activities are optional. Please do not participate if you have fever or any symptoms of COVID-19. Please do not participate if you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 in the last 14 days and you are not fully vaccinated. Cost: $10 per hike.
